Three Peaks Challenge

3 Peaks Challenge - Unilever UK Finance · 22 September 2018
When a group from my workplace, Unilever, decided to set themselves a challenge to raise money for charity I knew I wanted to be a part of it. We decided on Three Peaks because it is tough, exciting and prestigious but also because it is open to anyone with a pair of boots and generous levels of planning and determination.
I decided to fund raise for PSPA because they were hugely helpful in supporting my grandpa through his battle with PSP as well as providing my grandma with a welcoming environment to learn and relax through the difficult periods. The charity, while small, supports a growing number of living with PSP in their lives due to the increase in this type of disease in the UK.
We will be driving to Fort William before waking up at the crack of dawn for an endurance race against the clock; starting at the bottom of Ben Nevis (Scotland) at 6am 22nd September we will ascend and descend the peak followed by a drive to Scafell Pike (England) for a repeat exercise before making the journey down to Snowdon (Wales) to hopefully crest the final mountain around 6am 23rd September for a breakfast watching the sunrise over the landscape. That's 37km and 3064m elevation of walking plus 750km of driving in 24 hours!
PSP Association (PSPA) is a national charity providing support and information to people living with PSP and CBD, while funding research into treatments and ultimately a cure. We aim to improve the lives of everyone affected by PSP and CBD. But, we rely entirely on voluntary donations, that's why we need your support.
