My name is Daniel and on the 13th May I will be taking part in an MMA event. The competition will be between teams from North and South Manchester, fighting at a white collar level. Training for the event is approximately 2 months and participants have a range of experience and backgrounds in other disciplines (Muay Thai, Boxing etc.). This experience (or lack of it in my case!) along with size and ability, will then be used to match each fighter with an appropriate opponent. 

I can't explain what has driven me toward this event. Instead it is easier to justify it based on the money that taking part in it will hopefully raise. Please be generous with your donations. From my own experience in working in cancer care as a Radiotherapist, I have witnessed the benefit of the type of help Make a Wish provides. There is obviously a great sadness and injustice with life threatening illnesses, which is even more acute when the afflicted is a child. To bring happiness to a time of great sadness is a wonderful gift and provides hope and respite for the child (as well as all those involved in the child's life).
