Story
People with Alstrom Syndrome lose their vision and hearing, and have problems with their heart, liver, and kidneys, as well as numerous other health issues that affect their lives. There is no cure for this life-threatening disease.
We will be cycling from Torbay Hospital to QEH Birmingham, a journey of more than 200 miles, over 4 days. The medical and research professionals will be joining several patients and their tandem partners on the ride.
This event is to commemorate the move of ASUK patient clinics from Torbay to Birmingham, to raise awareness of the disease, and to raise vital funds for patients. Money raised will help support family days out, respite care for families, and specialised equipment for patients.
