Fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK
Story
Starting on 3rd June 2015, I am taking part in a 260kms bike ride in France; along with 9 other work colleagues, where we’ll be cycling from Orleans to Poitiers to raise money for my chosen charity Pancreatic Cancer UK along with 9 local hospices and The Rockinghorse Appeal, through sponsorship from our companies clients.
Over the past few years the Cellular Solutions team have raised over £111,000 – so with your help this event will help take us over the £140,000 mark – with the aim of reaching £250,000 over the next two years from our cycling fundraising.
For my personal fundraising target I am looking to raise £500+ for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Pancreatic Cancer UK is the only national charity fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts: Support, Information, Campaigning and Research. They provide an expert, personalised support and information service, with the ultimate aim of enabling patients to enjoy an extended, happy and fulfilled life, bringing hope to them and their families.
Following their Study for Survival in 2011, Pancreatic Cancer UK launched the Campaign for Hope which sets out two ambitious goals:
to double five-year pancreatic cancer survival rates within five years
to change the NHS experience of pancreatic cancer patients from being one of the worst to one of the best
Cellular Solutions will match like for like any funds we raise up to £5,000. Our overall total fundraising target for the event is £30,000. Every donation will help towards this figure that will make a significant difference to those less fortunate than ourselves. Every penny donated goes to charity and not towards the costs of the event thanks to sponsorship of the event by one of our network partners.
