We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Thanks for visting the 'TEAM DORWEST' sponsorship page!

The challenge consists of hiking (crawling!) to the summit of the 'Old Man of Coniston', then a 12 mile bike ride through Grizedale Forest then to top it all off, canoe a course on Coniston Water for a a few miles - all in under 10 hours!

The independence and freedom a Guide Dog provides to blind and partially sighted people is almost incomprehensible to those of us   lucky enough to have full sight.  This is why we are so keen to get involved and really contribute to this charity that really makes a difference

Please support this charity to allow it to continue to breed and train guide dogs and make a real difference to blind and partially-sighted peoples lives.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Guide Dogs will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

We are all training our little socks off to ensure we reach this massive     target so please, please help and sponsor us - as little as £10 is enough to train and care for each guide dog for a day.

Many thanks for your support.

From Jo, Hev, Bri, Roly, Hannah & James (TEAM DORWEST)

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
