We raise funds to enhance local NHS care to improve the experience of our patients

Story

Following from the success of last year's shoot, we have decided to do it all again!  This year we have chosen to support the County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust MRI Scanner Appeal.  Diagnostic imaging services are a vital part of modern healthcare , allowing clinicians to see what's truly going on inside us all.

Many of our member have received the benefits of such services, whether throughout and illness or injury.  One such story is that of Darren, who in 2014 was diagnosed with a rare spinal tumour.  Without MRI scans, this tumour may not have been diagnosed and understood as quickly as it was, and could have resulted in a much more adverse outcome.  Whilst due to the rarity of this condition, his diagnosis and care was delivered by a different trust, it brings home the importance of having such services available in our community.

The NHS gives us so much and asks for so little, help us in giving something back!
