So Hannah (see picture) is my daughter, and she has this condition called Rett Syndrome. In short, girls with Rett Syndrome start off like any other girls but slowly slowly abilities and bodily functions start to go backwards and d not function anymore. Hannah spoke 30 words at one stage and climbed up climbing frames, sofas and our living room table, but is unable to say any words today, and she has  lost her mobility almost entirely. Hannah is trapped in her own body as she has very limited abilities to communicate with us if so just for the most common things. If that was not enough, she developed seizures and had at a time up to 100 (one hundred) seizures a day.

Yet, Hannah is still one of the lucky ones, which might change tomorrow as Rett Syndrome does not stop and continues taken things away. Scoliosis, breathing issues, severe seizures, swallowing problems just to mention some of the more common issues we very likely might have ahead of us.

THERE IS HOPE! Rett Syndrome has been reversed in the lab and Reverse Rett is working together with some of the cleverest scientists and companies in the field. 95 pence of each pound is going directly to a lab either here in the UK or  overseas. It is as simple as every pound raised keeps actual scientist in the lab working on finding the ultimate cure. And it is close! The paths are many (see more here https://reverserett.org/cure) and it is now a matter of time before an actual cure will be found not only in mice but actually in girls like my daughter Hannah.
