We take all the good things in our lives for granted - walking through Manchester with my 10 year old son Dylan earlier this year, he continually asked me about the homeless people he saw around us. 

He couldn't understand how they survived - what they ate, how they stayed warm and why were they living that way. He was very upset - it made me think. We are all so used to seeing people living this way we don't question why ? 

The Booth Centre wants to help the homeless kick start their lives, so I am going to do my bit. I will be running the 10K with my 2 sisters and lots of friends from Aegis - a positive, healthy experience for us all that will hopefully help someone that needs it.
