Twenty odd years ago a foolish young man thought to himself “Wouldn’t it be nice to run the London Marathon?”

Cut to six years ago someone at work tells foolish (not so) young man that the ballot for the London Marathon is open and wouldn’t it be fun if he entered it too…………

Cut to two years ago stupid (now middle) aged man has now entered the ballot four years in a row and somehow gets a place. The worry and concern affects him so greatly that he traps a nerve at Christmas and doesn’t walk without a limp for three months so he defers his entry to this year..

Cut to now. Fat old man is going to attempt to run 26 and a bit miles in one months’ time. He is way behind in his training and only just managed to finish a half marathon a couple of weeks ago. Please sponsor him. This may be the last thing he ever does!
