Hello friends!,
I know I haven't spoken to some of you in quite awhile, but I trust that you are doing well. Much time has elapsed and many things have transpired in what I would consider a short time. Short, but lifetimes have passed by.
I have somehow found myself teaching English in my mother country of Vietnam, with an amazing opportunity to do some good for all the opportunities that I have been given.
My school is sponsoring a ride for charity. The Saigon Children's Charity fund in particular.
Opportunities are provided to us in several ways. Those presented to our parents to get them to America. Those presented to us for being born where we are. An education that is oft taken for granted and not appreciated til many years later. The people we meet along the way.
I hope to provide some of these opportunities to the less privileged children of Vietnam. Some born without parents. Many who must provide some service at a young age to provide food for their brothers and sisters. Education, simply a dream that will not see fruition. Yet.
With your help we can change this. A team of teachers and I will be cycling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City in 30 days. The distance covered will be over 2100 Kilometers (over 1300 miles). The money we raise will ALL be donated to the Saigon Children's Charity.
Thank you for your support. Any small amount helps in a country where the average monthly income is 150$.
In whatever capacity I have met you, I am grateful that I have. Much love and peace my friends.

“One cannot always tell what it is that keeps us shut in, confines us, seems to bury us, but still one feels certain barriers, certain gates, certain walls.
Is all this imagination, fantasy? I do not think so. And then one asks: My God! Is it for long, is it for ever, is it for eternity?
Do you know what frees one this captivity? It is very deep serious affection. Being friends, being brothers, love, that is what opens the prison by supreme power, by some magic force”
