Story
Hi there!
I'm a final year music Bmus student at the University of Huddersfield and will be participating in the London marathon with a marching band! Plenty of people have said I'm barmy for this, but in my first week back I was given this wonderful opportunity to raise money for the charity Sense - the UK's leading deaf and blind charity. As a musician I couldn't imagine loosing these senses, in which I feel extremely lucky to have them. The opportunity to raise money for such a great cause (and in such an interesting way) seemed too good to miss!
The team are also planning to beat the Guiness World Record for the fastest marching band to complete the marathon and overall raise £60,000 - so a good luck donation would be lovely! I'm hoping to raise a large sum so I'd really appreciate anything you can spare (be it 2p or £200!)
Sense is a charity who offer wide support to familes and individuals, help with accomodation, give specialist support to children and organise community events - and they do a great job! I'll be marching with a group of amazing people, and if you're there to watch or participate, I'll be the one with the bass drum!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, if you'd like to donate it's really appreciated! To do so you can click the donate button or text LILL87 with the amount to 70070! Thank you for visiting :)
