In memory of the legendary World War One battalion the "Leeds Pals" we are raising funds for our local Royal British Legion and the Royal Marines Benevolent Fund.PMF are proud to do the following challenge:
THE LEEDS PALS YOMP...bootneck style!
The challenge :
A small PMF team will Yomp 45 miles from Leeds to Masham carrying 55 lbs in 20 hours or less.

Duration: 20 hrs or less

The PMF instructors have come up with this dirty little badger to challenge a small number of their members. It is guaranteed to take the yompers out of their comfort zone and push them to the limit both mentally and physically!!!..they will be Blowing out of their arse with this one!
Why Leeds to Masham? - the Leeds " Pals" were made up of the brave men of Leeds. when they joined up in 1914 they were sent to Masham to conducted their military training Ready for the battle fields of France.
On the first day of the Somme 248 "pals" were killed In the first few moments of the battle.
Both Leeds and Masham have memorials for the Pals.
Charities - the local British legion have always supported PMF in Masham and continue to promote the WW1 centenary events.
The Royal Marines Benevolent Fund was formed to relieve need, distress or hardship suffered by any person who is serving, has served or is a dependant of a Royal Marine.
