On Saturday 30th October I am doing a sponsored swim to raise money for the Care Leavers' Association. I am doing this as part of National Care Leavers Week. I'm also doing it to raise awareness of the needs of adults who grew up in care and the prejudice that many of them still experience. I will be swimming for an hour at Ocean's Gym, Dysart Road in Grantham, from 2 p.m. This will be a big challeng for me because I am not a strong swimmer.
