Story
As many of my friends and family are aware, for the last couple of years I've worked very hard on improving my general fitness.
As part of my efforts to get fitter, I was convinced to take part in the Ipswich Midnight Walk. The first year I walked 8 miles, and the following year I completed the new 13 mile course. Training for these walks started my interest in long distance walking.
In 2015 I turn 30, and I've decided to give myself a real challenge, and take part in a 100km (approx 62 miles) walk. The walk will start at the Olympic Park in London, and finish in Cambridge. I hope to complete the event in approx 24hrs. Further details of the walk can be found at this link: http://www.london2cambridgechallenge.com
As it was the Ipswich Midnight Walk that got me into long distance walking, I've decided to continue to raise money for the charity that organises this event, which is St Elizabeth Hospice. For further details on the Hospice, please check out their website: http://www.stelizabethhospice.org.uk/
I'm also being joined by my friend Alex. Her JustGiving page is: https://www.justgiving.com/Alex-Houghton3
