Story
After retiring suddenly from professional Rugby League 5 years ago after experiencing a career-ending neck injury, Rugby League Cares (RLC) has provided me with continued support. Not only have they helped me establish a life after rugby, but they continue to support my ongoing medical care. RLC has provided me with both financial and emotional support to allow me to study to a high level which has been paramount in helping me secure and succeed in a rewarding job.
I am a prime example of why RLC exists. Without their support I wouldn't be in the position I am today. As my way of giving back to the charity, I will be taking part in their Ride to Wembley Challenge. The challenge is a 340-mile bike ride over 5 days. The ride starts on Monday 19th August to Friday 23rd August, arriving at Wembley Stadium on the eve of the Challenge Cup final.
All funds raised by the charity are fed directly back to the players through the player welfare support services that RLC provide and any sponsorship is very much appreciated.
