Story

MTL 2012 is our name for our charity ride.                                          Mary Towneley inspired the creation of the Pennine Bridleway. Her vision inspired us to provide accommodation for riders on the trail, and to ride the trail ourselves with local Fell ponies. We have met so many wonderful people and horses we wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Loop opening. Riders will join us on our ponies to ride the Loop over 5 days raising money for 5 charities dear to us. We support Rossendale and Pendle Mountain rescue because we never know when we might need them!

About the charity

A Mountain Rescue Team which is an integral part of the regional and national search and rescue service - providing primary cover in an area of approximately 350 square miles across East Lancashire and parts of Greater Manchester. The Team is made up entirely of volunteers members available 24/7.
