On April 6th 2013 Sarah Groves was tragically murdered on a houseboat in Kashmir. The devastation and grief caused by this inexplicable event has been indescribable. Hundreds, if not thousands of people have been affected emotionally and some are receiving counselling as a direct result.

Due to Sarah's insatiable love of life however, together with her desire to make a change in the world, and her determination to help as many people as she could, the Sarah Groves Foundation has been set
up in Guernsey as a Charitable Trust. It will focus on Sarah's inspirations and aspirations, which came from art, children, adventure, and fitness. This fund will continue Sarah's legacy, which is all about love,
helping others, and achieving ones dreams. To read more about the Foundation and to see where the money will be spent, please visit www.sarahgrovesfoundation.org . Under the category of “fitness”, a 600 mile bike ride between Guernsey – Bilbao –Guernsey will be
supported by the Foundation in order to raise funds to support its overall aims.

Participants are going to put themselves through this incredible challenge in order to raise as much money as possible for The Sarah Groves Foundation. We are not an elite group of cyclists, far from it,
but we are as a collective incredibly motivated and together will ride from Guernsey to Bilbao and back. We as a team are going to do something never attempted from these shores before, but we all have an incredible motivation to make this challenge become a reality and for ourselves to live a life less ordinary, just like Sarah.
