Story
Many of you as friends, family and colleagues will know my story, and know how close to my heart it is.
As we embark again on yet another unbelievable challenge, we will be remembering our good friends' son, Harvey Lear, who passed suddenly in 2011 aged 7. I was privileged enough to have known Harvey through our friendship with his family and will be honoured to raise money again this year in memory of a wonderful little boy.
Following our challenge last year, riding from Coast to Coast in a day, 148 miles and 14,000ft of climbing I didn't think it could get any tougher........ the Keep The Beat team had a different idea and came up with Ride to the Sun. We will be cycling from our village of Burbage, in Leicestershire, to Watergate Bay on the Cornish Coast in about 24 hours without any sleep! The ride is 300 miles with 22,000ft of climbing - to put that into perspective it's higher than the Everest Base Camp.
Harvey's family have been supporting local charities in his memory for a number of years, and this year again will support Keep The Beat.
Every donation will make such a difference so thank you for your support.
