Story

Hello,

My name is Chris Howard and I am a Captain in the British Army.  I have done many charity events in the past raising lots of money for military charities.  One of the most memorable events I ever organised was a half marathon last year in Afghanistan.  Despite the horrendous conditions and the situation we were in soldiers off 16 Air Assault Brigade based in Musa Qala raised over £5000 for Help for Heroes.

Now I intend to do an even harder challenge. I am going to run a full marathon round a 1 mile loop (26 times).  As if this wasn't hard enough I intend to do it wearing combat body armour, which is extremely heavy as any soldier would tell you.  The body armour marathon will take place in the grounds of the Army Training Regiment (Winchester) on the 11th of December 2009.
