I'm supporting St Ann's Hospice, an independent local charity which provides free care to over 3,000 people each year. £16,000 needs to be raised each day to provide this care. The Hospice aims to significantly improve the quality of life for those living with life- threatening illnesses in Greater Manchester.

This was a fine (actually rainy) adrenalin boost to start my early retirement off in style! The weather hampered the photo opportunities, not to mention the screaming in Russian, but it was an exhilarating experience nonetheless. We did manage a video and I gave you all a wave just before landing - hope you like it!

Thanks to all of you who have sponsored me trying my first Zip Line on July 17th across the water from the Imperial War Museum North to the Lowry Theatre. To those who haven't yet - this is my venture to fund raise for a wonderful hospice which does such marvellous work in our region.
