Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This whole idea came about when our team failed to win a competition which would donate £3000 to our chosen charity - the Special Care Baby Unit

However, the competition required for us to go and visit the charity to find out what their work involves.  We were lucky enough to be allowed onto the ward to meet some of the staff and see some of the babies under intensive care.  Everyone involved in running the charity are absolutely amazing.  It doesn't matter that they don't have the most sophisticated equipment in the world, it's their care and dedication that saves the lives of those babies. 

We realised they were in desperate need of donations for the charity to continue to run, so we decided to continue raising money and awareness for the charity - no matter what the outcome of the competition, and we've kept our promise.

About the charity

The fund was established in 1985 to provide funds for the Special Care Baby Fund at the Princess Royal Hospital Farnborough Kent. We provide equipment and training for staff and seek to improve all aspects of the comfort and experience of both babies and parents during and after the recovery period
