Story

Greasy poles are bad enough. But an abseil down Bristol's tallest building? I'm terrified. But at least in this case I'm attached to a rope...

On Sunday 20th November, I'm abseiling 175 ft down Bristol's Premier Inn. I'm not great on heights, and I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for the extraordinarily valuable work of St. Peter's Hospice.

The hospice provides second-to-none care and support for people at the end of their lives, and their families. The hospice very much relies on fundraising, and can only function thanks to an army of dedicated volunteers. If you want an example of Big Society, this is it - and St. Peter's hospice is an organisation of which our whole city can be proud, and which has touched the lives of so many people who live here.

But they need our support. So please dig deep.

Once you donate,  Just Giving will send your money directly to St. Peters Hospice and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. They'll never sell your details on or send unwanted emails.

Whether you can only spare a few pounds or pence, or are able to make more of a contribution, every single donation helps make a tangible difference to a patient and their families when they most need support.

Thank you!
