1 lake. 1 wetsuit. 1 mile. And a whole lot of cold dirty water with dead bodies at the bottom. 

I'm still not quite sure why, but next month l will be doing the Great North Swim in Lake Windermere. 

I've never ventured out of the swimming pool before, but it's all for a great cause - Martin's House Childrens Hospice.
