My family and I are taking part in a 2.5 mile Superhero walk for Ronald McDonald House on Sunday 18th February.

This is something very dear to the heart of someone very close to me, Steve Burne, who is the father of my 6 year old nephew. 

Steve was diagnosed with cancer in May 2017 which was confirmed as terminal in October. Steve has been involved with Ronald McDonald House charities for the last 15 years and as a family we have stayed in the Ronald McDonald House in Manchester. 

Mark's son Adam was rushed into Manchester Royal Children's hospital with a brain infection in 2013 and stayed in the hospital for some months. We were lucky enough to be given a room at Ronald McDonald House while Adam was in hospital. Being able to stay next to the hospital was invaluable to the family. We were able to be at Adam's bedside day and night and to meet other parents in similar circumstances. 

For these reasons we would like to help Steve in reaching his target of £250,000 to refurbish three living areas in the Manchester House. We are devastated by Steve's diagnosis and hope we can help him in leaving this lasting memory in his name.
