Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I trained to run the London Marathon, but after suffering from an injury, I deferred my entry to the 2012 London Marathon. Thanks to many friends, family and colleagues, I raised nearly £2000 sponsorship money for MIND. Don't worry, this has been rolled over for this year and all the donations have gone to MIND!
This year, as well as the London Marathon, I am also running the Bath Half marathon for MIND, with the aim to raise even more money for such a great charity (and fit in a training run!!). As many of you know, I am running in memory Victor Feinstein, a close friend who sadly took his own life, aged 20, after suffering silently from depression. Please help me raise as much money as possible to try to ensure that other people get the support that they need. If we can help one person to get the support that they need, one family not have to lose their child and a group of friends not have to go through the heartache that we have, then at least something positive will have come from our loss.
This year I have embarked on a 30 week training plan that includes weights and swimming to strengthen my knee and hopefully ensure that I achieve a time to rival Paula's! No, I will not be relieving myself on the side of the road! Check out my blog for updates on training; www.therunnerbeans.blogspot.com.
Thanks for your support,
love Charlie
