My Story
Christmas 1999 had just passed and was leading up to the new year of which the known/unknown tragedy awaits, Things didn't seem like the last christmas the magic dust was nowhere to be seen like the last. Being 8 years old, I were told things were fine, but when I was told off for beating up my little brother my nan wasnt there for me to run and hide behind.
It was new years eve eve and me and my brother, mum and dad went to hospital to see my nan, Unaware of the last image I will ever have of her was just moments away, after all it was odd that the whole family was there comforting each other.
It was mine and my brother turn to say goodbye for the last time, which we weren't aware of, we walked in to the room with mum and saw the most beautiful and treasured women in our lives being taken from us ,laying lifeless with not a hair on her head, we was dragged out kicking and streaming with a river of tears running from our eyes.
It was just as mum was making a dinner at around 5:30pm dad arrived home from the hospital, he come through the door with sheer pain and devestation wraped around his face, i remember reading from his lips, she's gone, and that was the last time id ever see her again.

i have known at least 8 people battling cancer, killed by cancer, most of which are family. Millions of people each year go through this, these people are real hero's staying strong not for themselves but for their family, they will try not to show they are weak nor that they are in pain. We all need to support each other in beating this disease. We can all do this together.
So please dig deep and donate now.
