Story

I have decided to run the Manchester 10k on Sunday 22nd May 2016.

Those who know me, may find this a little hard to believe considering I have not really been known for my exercise since I was cut down in my prime at the age of 17 when a sparkling future football career was cut short by a cruel calf injury.........

Since then I have been better known for my love of pies and the quickest most have seen me move is when last orders is called at the bar!!

However that said, I have decided to give it a shot. I am doing it mainly to prove a point to my other half and obviously to beat her.

However to ensure that I don't drop out and to try and guarantee some kind of commitment from myself I have decided to join up through work, I will therefore be aiming to raise as much as I possibly can for Boohoo.com's chosen charity Teenage Cancer Trust.

This is a truly great cause, dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. Like many, as somebody who has been personally affected but this awful disease the more I can raise - the better!!
