We fund research, counselling and advocacy to cure and support people with sight loss

Story

My chosen charity is Fighting Blindness who are supporting research into LHON, a degenerative eye condition which my friend Matt has. He noticed a change in his eyesight in January and by March was registered as blind. Although initially devastated, Matt has dealt with it amazingly, and is still as sporty as ever, while also fund raising and has even managed to return back to work part-time at Cofunds. More info on him can be found here: http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/local_news/southend/10675245.Matt_s_blindness_is_not_a_barrier/

LHON is a relatively unknown condition and Fighting Blindness funds research into treatments, preventions and cures of degenerative eye diseases.

For someone so young to have their vision taken away from them so abruptly is incredibly sad but Matt has dealt with it brilliantly and we'd love to be abe to support Fighting Blindness in their search for a cure and providing support to LHON sufferers.
