On May 10 2014 a team of 16 runners will run the 140 mile coast to coast (C2C) route. We all have family or friends whose lives have been affected by cancer and we want to support Cancer Research in beating this illness.

We have set ourselves the challenge of crossing the country in relays starting at first light on the shore of the Irish Sea at Whitehaven, and carrying on until we reach the North Sea at Tynemouth. We will all run the first and last miles and in between will be running at least 20 miles each in pairs. It would be fair to say we are a mixed abilities group and this is a challenging route, taking in the Lakeland Hills, the Hartside and Garrigill passes and the gruelling Alston Moor.
