Having had an amazing experience with Team True Spirit in 2011 with their epic achievements at IronManUK Bolton, I am back again for more this year!! Team True Spirit (http://www.truespirit.org.uk) consists of recovering wounded and injured service personnel and support staff who will be undertaking a series of races in 2012. By completing these various events the team hope to inspire others to believe that anything is possible. 

 

So on 22nd July 2012, I will be taking part in the IronMan UK as part of the Team True Spirit support team.  Yes, that's a 2.4mile open water swim, 112 miles on a road bike round the Lancashire hills and then 26.2 miles in and out of Bolton!! I will be completing the swim and bike sections, then continuining on a mountain bike to support one of our team who will be using a racing chair for the marathon section. 

 

Now this all may sound a little nuts..two years on the trot.. but since working at Headley Court you quickly realise that nothing is impossible...and everything is possible.

 

Of the 6 charities the team are supporting, I've chosen to fundraise for BLESMA (British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association - please see this link for more information on the great work they do: http://www.truespirit.org.uk/charities/blesma.html
