Crohn's disease is currently incurable.  It causes erosion of bowel, bones and tissues and horrible symptoms and suffering for patients. Treatments which are risky and come with side effects are used to try to manage the disease. Scientists in the Oxford institute that created the Covid vaccine have completed phase 1 trials of a Crohn's MAP Vaccine as potentially curative and preventative in Crohn's disease (MAP is a bacteria in the same family as TB and Leprosy). I would love your support to help fund research by Kings College London for the development of a Crohn's MAP diagnostic test as part of the next stage of trials. More information on the Vaccine research can be found here https://crohnsmapvaccine.com/

To support the #athomeforcrohns campaign and raise funds for this crucial research, I am doing a sponsored Bridget Jones Movie Marathon for 12 hours on 15th March (World Map Day) - 12 hours for the 12 years since I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease.

We have seen what investment in science can achieve.  Please help us make it happen!
