Story

Hello everyone!

Thank you for visiting our page...don't leave without giving us some money (please!).

On 30th October Caroline, Amy, Lucy, Chris and Robin will be running / walking / crawling / limping / hand-stand walking the Bupa Great South Run, 10 miles of Portsmouth (at least it's flat), in aid of The Royal Marsden cancer hospital.

As some of you know, Caroline's mum was cared for by the Royal Marsden hospital in Chelsea for eight years providing treatment and emotional support during this time, and particularly in the last three months of her life.

Living with cancer and watching someone you care about deteriorate from the disease is awful; but knowing they are being treated in the leading specialist hospital in the country, receiving the best care possible, provides some comfort. The staff at the Marsden gave her an extra eight years of life and every single member of the team that cared for her made a huge difference to her quality of life.

We will be running on the one year anniversary of her passing away, so will be limping our way along the 10 mile course in memory of her and in aid of an amazing hospital and charity which provided an immense amount of support both to her and her family.

Anything you can give, however small, would make a huge difference in helping the hospital and its charity to continue to help make life better for people with cancer everywhere, and strive for a future without it.

Thank you in advance for donating!

Caroline, Amy, Chris, Lucy and Robin xx
