Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Up until August last year I couldn't run for a bus without needing oxygen!! However thanks to my friend Hazel I joined Peterhead Jog Scotland. I needed to give myself a target and that target I decided was to run the Aberdeen City Baker Hughes 10k race in May 2010. I didn't need to think very hard about who I was going to be doing it aid of.
Those who know me the best, know how much I think of our armed forces. So who better to do it for than those who put their lives at risk on a daily basis for us the British Public. We've all of course heard about the recent War in Iraq and the on going fight our troops are facing in Afghanistan.
Please don't get me wrong I don't support or agree with the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan but who I do support 110% are our brave troops that are out there, those that have been and those that are preparing to be deployed there. They all do a fantastic job. Sadly not all our Heroes come home to their loving family and friends. At the time of me doing this page 263 of our brave troops have lost their life giving the ultimate sacrifice for their Country and us. They will never be forgotton.
We also need to remember and support those brave men and women who are injured during the fighting. We very rarely hear about those who have recieved injuries not just physical but psychological too. Which brings me on to the Charity who I hope you all are going to help me support. Help for Heroes help support our injured forces both physically and emotionally. They do fantastic work and without donations from the like of us they would be unable to carry out the great work that they do.
So please dig deep and donate now and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me in rasing money for this great cause.
To our Armed Forces a great big "THANK YOU"xxx
