This summer I have decided to cycle from London to Istanbul with about a group of students from Durham University. We'll be covering about 3000 miles in total in (hopefully) about 60 days, cycling for around 50 of those which averages out at about 100km a day in temperatures that I don't really want to think about yet!
Sounds silly, I know, but it's all to raise money for ABF: The Soldiers' Charity, which supports serving and former soldiers and their families. Thankfully my Dad always returned home safely from deployment but an increasing number of families are not so lucky, so I'll be cycling an awfully long way this summer to raise money for them!
On the 15th of April I'll also be running the Paris Marathon for the same charity and hopefully raise some more money for the soldiers and their families. I'm well into my training and trying to improve my endurance fitness for the summer!
So please donate - any amount is hugely appreciated, and will make the hard parts of the trip so much easier!
