When Ella became terminally ill, Shooting Star Chase nurses made it possible for her to stay at home with us all until the end. They visited regularly, played games, painted her nails and helped with bathing and medicines.   

When the end came, Shooting Star Chase provide a very special service.

Ella was able to rest in a beautiful bedroom at the Hospice until the day of her funeral.  It meant we could go and spend time with her whenever we wanted to.  The nurses popped in and out to see her, talked to her and played music in her room.  There were fairy lights all around the bed.  

We were able to spend as much time there as we needed until it was time for our final goodbyes.  This is a side of the journey that most people have no idea of .. The team are kind, caring and compassionate and make things as easy as they possibly can in an impossible situation. 

By raising funds for Shooting Star Chase, we are able to say a little thank you for all the support they gave us and also help other families going through the heartbreak of caring for and losing a terminally ill child.  

We hope to raise £500 for Shooting Star Chase by selling our beautiful Live, Laugh, Love for Ella festival style wristbands.   These are available for £1.00 each.  For details please email carofos@me.com
