Story
Mike was a fantastic person and he will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Throughout his life Mike was active in many sports and a fierce competitor. Mike was a man of faith and we know this was a comfort to him particularly when he was diagnosed through to the time he reached the end of his life.
Mike once said “There are three aspects of my life that are my true values – family, friends and the Church.” Mike left behind a wife, Jayne and their two children Philip and Katy and also his mother, father and many good friends. In memory of Mike and to raise money for the registered charity Bowel Cancer UK, we are taking part in a 200 mile two-day bike ride on 24-25th July covering 8 Counties, these being Cheshire, Gt Manchester, Deryshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Wrexham, Flintshire and Merseyside.
On behalf of the whole cycling team we would like to thank you for your donations and would like to say that it was an honour to know Mike.
Footnote: We are very proud to have just completed our 8 Counties Bike Ride, it was both challenging and rewarding for everyone involved. Thank you all for your support and donations to a great cause. If you haven't yet donated, please put your hands in pockets and give a couple of quid in recognition of what we have done and we do thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
