Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. It is a page for myself, my sister Kirsty and my 3 gorgeous ladies. All sponsors for any of us fab 5 are greatly appreciated
This is the second time I have taken part in Marie Curie Walk 10. My first was in 2011 at Boughton House in Northamptonshire with 3 amazing friends Jemma, Amanda, and Emma. In total I completed 4 sponsored walks last year adding up to almost a marathon and raised about £600.
This year, my aim is to raise money for the Belfast Marie Curie Nurses. These lovely people cared for my Dad in his final days and gave him the dignity, attention and support he deserved. Although we didn’t get to the hospice in time, the nurses and staff treated us with so much kindness.
A glutton for punishment - I am actually going to do TWO Walk 10 events in TWO days!! On Friday 31st August I will be in Belfast with my sister who is taking part with me for the first time. On Saturday 1st September, I will be at Boughton House in Northampton with the 3 fabulous ladies I did the same event with last year.
Also in special memory of Ted Baraclough, my husband’s lovely Grandad. Ted also battled cancer and died 20/12/10. A very kindly man who I had the pleasure of knowing for a short time and very much respected by all.
