Story

Martin House to Paris Cycle Challenge 2012

The date is set - on the 4th August our small team Chris Harrison, Dexter Stevens and myself are cycling from Martin House Childrens Hospice in Boston Spa to Paris (that's Paris France, not Texas!) - a mere 480 miles...and every mile for a very worthy cause.  And not forgetting my brother-in-law, Luke who has kindly volunteered to drive the support vehicle and shout encouragement from the window :-)  So our route is.....

Day 1 (Aug 4th) - Martin House to Melton Mowbrey

Day 2 - (Aug 5th) - Melton Mowbrey to Aylesbury

Day 3 - (Aug 6th) - Aylesbury to Fleet

Day 4 - (Aug 7th) - Fleet to Newhaven

Day 5 - (Aug 8th) - Dieppe to Gournay-en-Brey

Day 6 - (Aug 9th) - Gournay-en-Brey to Paris

Day 7 - (Aug 10th) - Paris to Home (support vehicle!)

As many of you know, our little girl Grace is affected by an incurable and life limiting condition Niemann-Pick Disease. The same condition that so cruelly took Harry, her wonderful big brothers life after only 7 short years.

Since having the diagnosis for Harry in 2006 and then for Grace in 2009, Martin House has supported us as a family both physically and psychologically in how to cope and come to terms with the devastating condition that first Harry and now Grace have to battle.

Your donation means so much to help ensure Martin House can continue to support young children and their families during their preciously short lives.

Thank you very much for your support!
