24Hour Game-a-thon
Once again it’s time to give our support to the cooperatives annually decided charity,The Carers Trust.
Carers Trust supports carers of all ages, across the UK, who face the challenges of supporting a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. This inspirational charity provides breaks, advice, education, training and employment opportunities; all of which millions of carers may not otherwise benefit from, due to their commitment to caring
for others.
As in the past 3 years, the team at CTS Workshop, at our National Service Centre in Wolstanton, will be taking part in what has now become an annual Game-a-thon, whereby we will be attempting to play computer games for an unbroken 24 hour period.
This annual event has been continually improving its size and the amount it raises, from £300 the first year to over £800 last year and hopefully more this year! Perhaps we can exceed £1000 this time around!
We will be performing this “heroic” feat at the National Service Centre on the 29th of March, and will be playing on many types of console and computer available from Xbox 360, PS3 to Windows computers and even Macs, as well as being joined from home by other team members. Some of the games being played include, Gears of War, FIFA 13, Grand Theft Auto IV, Halo, Black Ops 2, Grand Turismo 5 and many, many more. This may look easy but it Is extremely hard to accomplish on no sleep, and don’t forget the
amazing feats the carers trust performs every day, we need to support their efforts as much as we can!
