We are here for every cat to keep them happy, healthy and safe.

Story

Start date: Saturday 23rd July 4pm

End date: Sunday 24th July 4pm

Every year we rehome an average of 400 cats and kittens, as well as issuing 360 neutering vouchers in the last year, 220 of them being females. Not forgetting we are on a small island only 23 miles wide!

Emily says" it will be interesting to view life from the cats perspective and hopefully we will get a few treats!!"

Jo says "hopefully it will be a break from the paperwork but Mel will probably pass some through the pen, I'm looking forward to having lots of cuddles with the cat I share the pen with!"

They have both already chosen which cat they will be spending the duration with (if they havent been rehomed before then!)

Emily will be sharing a pen with Holly. When Holly came in her mouth was in a horrific state, and she was barely able to eat. It was only when the vet examined her that we were able to see the full extent of how bad her mouth really was. She was put on antibiotics and booked in for a dental. She had to have most of her teeth removed, and she also had to have her some of the flesh in her cheeks cauterized as it was so damaged. After nearly 2 months of twice a day medications, she is improving but her mouth is still slightly infected and inflamed.

Donating today will help cats like Holly get the veterinary care that they need.

Jo will be sharing a pen with Dave. Dave came to us as a stray, after he was found with injuries hiding in someones house. It looked as if he had been hit by a car as his entire front looked scuffed with cuts up his legs. He was immediately given a blood test as he looked in a bad way, and it revealed he had contracted FIV. He is now all healed up, but sadly Feline aids is a lifelong infliction. Dave is a very sweet boy, who will now be looking for an indoor home as he is no longer allowed outside due to his FIV. Jo would like to raise awareness of cats like Dave, who can still live long and healthy lives!

Donating today will help cats like Dave, and help raise awareness of his condition.

UPDATE!

Dave has found himself a new home, and Holly has since been given the keys to the cattery as a resident. We are hoping that the freedom will cheer her up, and that as a result her mouth will improve!

Please sponsor us, because Cats deserve the best! Donate now =^.^=

Jo and Emily, both staff at the Isle of Wight Adoption Centre want to raise awareness and funds by spending 24 hours locked in a cattery pen.
