Story
This year PWSA is 30 years old and we wanted to do something to celebrate this achievement and the work that they do for the PWS community in the UK.
Imogen has Prader-Willi Syndrome and faces many challenges every day, but above all she is our fun-loving 4 year old who we all adore. In just 4 years we have benefited hugely from the support that the association has given us and we wanted to do something special to mark its 30th anniversary.
So, we've teamed up to do a joint family challenge to raise awareness about PWSA (please find out more about PWSA and PWS via the links) and to see if we can raise some money too.
We will be cycling the Coast to Coast (C2C) route - Whitehaven to Newcastle- 145 miles - in a mere 5 days (some of us are fitter than others so this timeline will be a challenge!). And though the training schedule has gone a bit to pot with torrential rain and other reasons getting in the way - WE WILL DO IT! And to get us through it we will all be chanting "Dave - this was your idea!" through gritted teeth as we pedal along.
Please check out the PWSA website to learn more about the association and Prader-Willi Syndrome and, if you can, chuck us a few quid to help inspire the team on the long road ahead :) !
Thanks for your support
Imogen's Fan Club - Sheffield Branch
AKA Imogen's Family - Pete, Charlotte, Maddie, CJ and Imogen (who will be luxuriating in her own pull-along bike trailer)
And Imogen's "adopted" Family - Dave, Bridie, Grace (Alicia and Winnie the dog, who will both be supporting us in spirit!)
