Can you help save our playgroup and school?
EVERYONE has been hit by the recession so raising money is harder than ever.
But we need to raise £203,000 to build an eco-classroom in the grounds of our village primary school.
Buttercups Playgroup is situated in Middleton, a rural village of approximately 600 households to the east of Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
The area is quite deprived - 32 per cent of our children are eligible for free school meals, public transport is poor and many parents and carers lack their own vehicles.
Buttercups offers weekday morning child care for two - five-year-olds in the village hall.
The demand now is for all-day provision which we cannot provide from our existing premises.
Our survival, and that of Middleton Primary School which relies almost entirely on the playgroup for its intake, is dependent on a move.
We have planning permission but now we need cash.
By donating £10 or more you will kickstart our campaign and enable us to approach grant providers who demand to see existing financial support before considering a request.
The pictures on this page are illustrations which show what our building could look like but based on the floorplan below.
