Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Baby Sam's life was only a week long but thankfully he knew no pain or distress and his week was filled with love and cuddles. Sam will always live on in the hearts of Maugan, Jo and big brother Findlay as well as in the hearts of all his family and friends.
Sam's family will never forget him and would like his short life to have a practical impact. We have decided to fundraise in order to build a feeding shelter in memory of Sam. This shelter will be situated at a school in Malawi and will provide a meal for children who otherwise would not be fed or educated. The shelter will be built and run by Mary's Meals.
Update
We've had such an amazing response. Our heartfelt thanks to all who have helped us achieve our goal. We have had so much support from all over the world! The Donnie Munro concert raised over £2,000 and Eva and Richard's half marathon almost £1,000.With events still to happen, Kirstie's coast to coast walk in July and Maugan running the Auckland Marathon in November, to mention two, we have decided to try and also raise the first year's feeding costs of £3,000. Our school, Kaphirikwete Primary, has now got its kitchen and we will shortly be getting a photo of the sign.
Again many, many thanks to all.
