Baikal Ice Marathon · 1 March 2020
I have been fundraising for TCT for over a year now the majority of the monies I've raised have been at work in collection tins. Since I started, the donations towards the stores target has increased significantly through the numerous running events I have taken on. So much so that I was allowed to create my own 'donation station' to keep the kind donations of customers rolling in with the help of a big red bucket. The proceeds of this bucket are donated to this event.
I travelled to Siberia to race across Lake Baikal the world's largest freshwater lake. I have never run across a frozen lake before so it was a very unique event. With sub-zero temperatures and plagued with insomnia this was going to be a very tough event but I did it and it was one of the hardest events I've done. An adventure nonetheless.
Although many of this years adventures have been put on hold I am still collecting and I am still running. I would like to thank my team at Aviemore especially Zoe for putting up with my pestering and to all the wonderful customers who chucked in some coinage. Cheers!
