Message from Brenda:

My little niece Lauren (Pic) was born on 24th August 2009 with a rare heart condition called, "Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome" which means that there is no left hand side of her little heart. As such, she is only 7 months old and has already undergone 2 major open heart operations and has further major surgery ahead. 

Little Hearts Matter has provided support and information to our family and Lauren is a child member of the group. Your sponsorship will contribute towards funding for antenatal, bereavement and medical support services for Lauren and other children affected by the condition. Funding will also enable the following facilities;

A 24 hour helpline

Education events

Child activity weekends

Raise awareness of child heart conditions

None of us are professionals but we have been training for weeks and suffering from the associated injuries to make it past the finish line!
