Story
Three intrepid explorers embark on a 500 mile journey on a single bicycle.
Starting at the lowest point in Great Britain - Holme Fenn, approximately 500 miles toward the highest - Ben Nevis, which we shall scale bike-in-hand..
Bike..? Not bikes..? Nope! One tandem..well sort of - a Tandem for three!!
Holme Fen, Cambridgeshire (just south of Peterborough) specifically Holme Posts, is believed to be the lowest land point in Great Britain at 9.0 ft (2.75 metres) below sea level
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles at 4,408 ft (1,344 metres) above sea level. Located at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of Scotland.
The 22nd of June 2015 begins the voyage for five days arriving in Fort William on the 26th.
I will be joined on this five day adventure by Master-Cyclist Andy Gray, known for his massive endurance fetes such as 1500 miles of UK compass points on his slicks, and various fitness obstacle courses!
Also on our trek will be Andy Layland who is a supreme cyclist too, last year completing a three mountain stage of Le Tour - Dragon Ride, L'Marmotte & L'Etape Du Tour, and fitting the marathon in too!
Why not challenge yourself?? Ben Nevis is our highest peak, a trek to the top would be something to tick off your own list! Get behind us and join in on our final leg!! (PLEASE!!)
UPDATE, my luscious beard has been thrown in the fundraising pot with the promise of a SHAVE if my target is exceeded to £1200 by Saturday night.......
This should help tackle weight, aerodynamics, and insect debri..
Contact any of us if you wish to know more, but DON'T FORGET TO DONATE to these worthy causes - they're close to all of our hearts and to most..
Thankyou all for your continued support!
