Story

On 5th October I shall be swimming across the Humber with a small number of other swimmers. The distance with tides is about 1.5 miles and it will be cold!! I'm doing this to raise money for the Humber Rescue Lifeboat Crew and also the Stroke Association.

We will be swimming under the bridge from South to North at high tide, with the support of a Humber Rescue vessel.

From the Humber Rescue's own website "The Humber Estuary is said to be one of the most dangerous navigable rivers in the world. It is not suprising that even the most experienced of navigators can be caught out by its shifting sands and seven knot currents."

We will be doing it at 4:30pm please come along and support us.
