Story
In memory of Neil James Coe
In December 2012 we lost one of our best mates to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. As well as being a great mate, Neil was a fantastic husband to Jayne, and a super dad to Paul, and has left a huge Nezza-sized hole in the world. In his memory, and to try and help other sufferers, we decided to get on our bikes to try and raise some money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Given Neil’s surname, coupled with a desire to something a bit different, we decided to embark on a variation of a ‘coast-to-coast’: on the 27/28 July we’ll be cycling across Scotland, from Dundee to Glen Coe. We hope you will support us in our endeavour (which we’ve named the ‘Coast-to-Coe’), and give generously to a worthy cause.
Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Around 30,000 people of all ages, from children and teenagers to adults are diagnosed with a blood cancer in the UK every year. They receive no government funding and rely entirely on voluntary support. In the next five years they need to raise £120 million to continue their lifesaving research.
