As you may know, a group of us have decided in the last couple of years to grow our hair to chop it off and donate it to the wonderful Little Princess Trust. Donations begin at 7inches, however a few of us have chosen to give a lot more.

We're getting used to the "why are you cutting your hair? It's so lovely and long though!", the "Don't cut it!!", oh and the "it's such a shame you're chopping it off!" Thing is, we couldn't disagree more. We are all very very proud of this charity mop chop and our barnets will grow back.

The work that this charity does for children who show strength beyond all of us to keep fighting is incredibly inspirational!!! Donating our hair is the least that we can do. It's not much for us to do, but to some children suffering, this can mean the world.

The real hair wigs that the charity provide to the children are free of charge. Using real donated hair, the charity can make a wing for very little, if anything at all. The costs come in if suitable donated hair cannot be sourced; the charity will need to purchase the most appropriate wig for the girl or boy in question (as close as possible to their original hair). Unfortunately these wigs can cost on average £350-500!! As a result, as well as donating our hair to the charity, we are also aiming to raise £700 as a group to be able to pay for two wigs. 

This is such an amazing charity, giving children back their confidence and making them feel special again when they are finding the loss of hair a challenge. I think it's safe to say that an adult would find it difficult, so imagine how hard it is for a little one. We've joined as a team to raise as much money as we can so if you could donate any sum of money to this fantastic cause, please do so.
