Story

Joseph Fawcett had a tough start in life after being diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of brain tumour. The odds were heavily stacked against him. Despite this he battled through brain surgery, 11 rounds of chemotherapy, high dose Chemotherapy and a Stem Cell transplant. He is now a fiesty, strong and happy 3 year old with a positive and healthy prognosis. We owe this in no small part to the specialists and research facilities we are so lucky to have based in Newcastle. For the full story see:

About the charity

The aims of NECCR are to raise money for the continuing vital research into the causes and treatment of Childhood Cancer. Objectives are: Find the causes of childhood cancer and to develop new treatments. Increase the number of children cured of cancer. Make treatment less distressing.
